How much are they?
Some people wonder why there is no price information on this website. If we felt it would be helpful, we'd certainly put it on. But costing these bags wholesale is more complicated than you might think. We find that in order to give you a correct quotation, we need to know:
1. Which bag? We recommend you start by looking at our standard range which gives some idea of the basic styles available. If you want something bigger, smaller or different we need to know the dimensions. If you can't make up your mind, please tell us what you want the bags for. Our advisors will help you to choose the right style. We're happy to quote for a range of styles or quantities.
2. How many bags do you need? Or as many of our customers ask, What's the minimum order? The very fewest we can supply is 100 bags - unprinted. To add your logo the minimum is just 200 bags - available on stock items from our standard range. We much prefer to make your bags especially for you, be they stock styles or something bespoke. That method is cheaper and more versatile - we can customise bags completely, and the minimum is usually 500 bags. Price breaks are at the following quantities: 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 7500, 10000, 15000, 20000, 50000. For 75,000 bags or more we will build you a custom quote.
3. When do you need them?
2-3 days? We can only supply plain, natural (beige) bags, subject to stock availability. Minimum quantity: 100.
2-3 weeks? Again, no problem - as long as you want natural (beige) bags. We need to check our stock and see your design before accepting the order. Minimum run: 200.
3-4 weeks? This means our express service (which costs more than our standard delivery). Unlike the 2-3 week option we can make the bags to any size and colour you like. Some graphics can only be printed using this or our standard service. Minimum run: 500.
8-10 weeks? Our economical standard service is your best bet and is the best value. Please note: with this service, we are not always able to give a firm delivery date at the time of order. Minimum run: 500.
4. What kind of handles?
Jute: made of the same hessian material as the bag. Strong but rough.
Cotton webbing: recommended by us. Sturdy, simple, comfortable.
Padded cotton: Webbing wrapped round rope. Exceptionally comfortable.
Rope and eyelet: cotton rope knotted through eyelets. Elegant.
Bamboo: polished bamboo. Simple, straight and very strong.
Bentwood: Sustainably-sourced cane, any shape you like. Refined.
And would you like your handles hand-carrying length or shoulder length?
5. Printing? How many colours? How many sides? We can also print on the gussets of the bag. If there is greater than average coverage or you need special inks (eg. metallics), an additional charge applies. We use azo-free water-based dyes and Pantone matching (uncoated series) to specify the colours.
6. Fabric colour? We have a wide range of standard shades and for larger runs can dye material to your Pantone shade. Coloured material costs a tad more than natural (beige). For a nice effect you can combine different shades on the same bag - for example, coloured gusset and natural front/back.
