Our friends at leading recycling company Recresco collect and process over 60 tonnes of plastic bottles every week, so they know a thing or two about recycling plastics. One of the most important things they know is… plastic bags are bad! They end up littering the landscape, when plastic bags are mixed in with recyclable material they make it harder to process and they themselves are problematic (i.e. expensive) to recycle.
On top of that, they aren’t even that good for carrying things in, when full they cut into your hand, and sometimes when carrying eggs or some other fragile and potentially messy product, they will split and deposit their contents all over the floor.
