Our standard range of cotton bags and jute bags will suit most needs, but some people need something special. As manufacturers, we love making unique and challenging bespoke designs for our customers.

Artwork guidelines

How small can you print? What colours work well? Can you print in full colour? Printing on textiles is part art, part science, and not all designs work well on jute and cotton. The wrong design can cost you time and money. Make sure your bag has the maximum impact by following our simple dos and don'ts.

Colour

That great artist Henri Matisse said: "Seek the strongest colour effect possible... the content is of no importance." We wouldn't go quite that far, but we do know that with so many natural biscuit or white coloured bags around, coloured fabric adds immense impact to any bag.

The variations are endless – but here are just some of the exciting things we can do to create a truly unique bag. You can use any of the below to customise any of our bags. Minimum run for bespoke bags is 500 and minimum lead time is 6 weeks.

Handles

Choose your LENGTH. Hand carrying handles are usually 40cm from end to end; shoulder length is 60-70cm.
Choose your STYLE. For jute bags, we recommend cotton webbing or padded cotton for strength and comfort. Webbing is available in different widths and can be woven to order.
Simple cotton handles are best for cotton bags. We also supply sustainably-sourced bamboo and fancy cane handles.
Choose your COLOUR. Dyed handles are a very effective way to liven up your bag. PANTONE® dyed handles are free for orders of 2500 or more; for smaller orders there is a small additional charge.

Dimensions

Big or small, we can make them all. We can cut our cloth to any size you like. Or give us your product and we will fit our bag around it.

Pockets and dividers

For added versatility, we can add pockets or sleeves to hold brochures, shopping lists, product information or a bottle. You can also have internal dividers to help package products snugly. Our multi-bottle bags usually have removable dividers, so the bag can be used as a regular shopping bag too.
